Long delays as motorway shuts for bridge repairs

Drivers are experiencing long delays after a section of motorway was closed for emergency bridge repairs.

The M3 in Hampshire is shut westbound between Junction 12 for Allbrook and Junction 13 for Eastleigh, causing delays of up to 60 minutes, according to National Highways.

Approaching traffic is being diverted via Allbrook Way, Twyford Road and Leigh Road through Eastleigh, and this route has also become heavily congested.

Experts are on-site carrying out the required repairs and motorists have been advised to plan ahead before they travel and allow extra time for their journey.
