Man suffers serious head injury in rock fall

A man suffered serious head injuries after falling on to rocks on the Cornish coast.

Bude Coastguard Rescue Team (CRT) said the incident happened at Bude Sea Pool at Summerleaze Beach shortly after 10:00 BST on Tuesday.

The team said the man was taken to hospital after being helped by "diligent passers-by" .

A crew from Boscastle Coastguard and Bude RNLI was also called out, Bude CRT added.

A Facebook post from Bude CRT said first aid was administered at the scene as the wait for an ambulance was estimated to be an hour.
