The boy became stuck on a rock at Sandymouth Beach, rescuers said

A 10-year-old boy was rescued from the Cornish coast after getting stuck on a rock.

Bude Coastguard Rescue Team said it was called out to Sandymouth Beach alongside the town's RNLI crew at 13:28 BST on Wednesday.

The team said on Facebook the boy had been cut off by the tide at the National Trust-run beach.

They were able to rescue the boy and get him back to the beach, where he was reunited with his family, the team said.
