A woman has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm after a man sustained serious head injuries.

Wiltshire Police were called to the Spring Gardens car park in Swindon at around 17:30 BST on Wednesday to assist ambulance staff responding to a "medical incident".

A woman in her 40s was arrested but released on bail while enquiries continue.

Police said the victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries, which are "not thought to be life threatening".
