Cyclist critical after suspected hit-and-run
GoogleA cyclist who was struck in a suspected hit-and-run collision in Preston is in a critical condition.
The man was found unresponsive in North Road by a member of the public, who flagged down an ambulance at about 04:50 GMT, Lancashire Police said.
Officers later found a black Ford Focus with "damage consistent with having been involved in a collision".
A 24-year-old man from Fulwood has since been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving with excess alcohol and driving with excess drugs.
He remains in custody.
Police have appealed for anyone with information and footage to contact them.
