Burst pipe floods road and affects water supply
Emma AcombA burst pipe has led to flooding and problems with residents' water supplies in part of Lancashire.
United Utilities (UU) said engineers were hoping to fix the problem in Brindle Road, Bamber Bridge, "as soon as possible".
Customers in the town and also in part of Walton-le-Dale have been affected by water pressure problems.
On its website, UU said the build-up of sediments over time could also cause water supplies to become discoloured.
The company added: "We know it doesn't look nice but don't worry, it's unlikely to be harmful and will settle down again with time.
"You can help by letting your cold water tap run at a slight trickle until your water runs clear again."
