The incident happened outside Dewsbury bus station, police said

A man has been jailed over an affray incident at a bus station in Dewsbury.

West Yorkshire Police said the disorder happened on 16 January and resulted in a 17-year-old boy sustaining a non-life-threatening leg injury.

Alfie Young, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to affray, remaining on a premises in contravention of a closure order and assault by beating of an emergency worker.

The 23-year-old was sentenced at Leeds Magistrates' Court on Thursday to a total of 26 weeks in prison.

The case against a 36-year-old woman charged with affray in connection with the incident was discontinued.
