Fire crews called to blaze at Peaky Blinders mill
BBCFire crews were called to put out a blaze at a derelict mill which has been the scene of several arson attacks in the past.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (WYFRS) was called to Dalton Mills on Dalton Lane, Keighley, at about 20:25 GMT on Wednesday, it said.
Crews from Bingley, Keighley, Shipley, Fairweather Green, Bradford and Ilkley put out the blaze and there were no reports of any injuries, they added.
West Yorkshire Police officers were also called to the former textile mill, which has featured in TV dramas Peaky Blinders and Downton Abbey.
A spokesperson for WYFRS said the fire was on the fourth and fifth floors of the derelict building and covered about 20% of the structure.
Fire investigation teams are looking into the cause.
Crews were called to a blaze there last July, which also caused damage to the nearby Keighley Bus Museum.
A large part of the mill was destroyed in a major fire in 2022, leading to two teenage boys being arrested and charged with arson.
A police spokesperson said officers were called to the scene on Wednesday night and it was confirmed no-one was in the building or had been injured.
Enquiries are ongoing into the cause of the fire with the fire service, it said.
