Warmth sessions hosted in libraries during winter
GoogleFree winter warmth sessions will be hosted at libraries across Wolverhampton as the city gears up for Storm Goretti.
The sessions, which take place across January, are aimed at bringing communities together during the colder weather and free hot drinks, games and crafts will be on offer.
"We look forward to welcoming everyone to our Winter Warmth and Wellness sessions, giving people a chance to come together, enjoy a hot drink, and take part in activities that will support their wellbeing," councillor Obaida Ahmed said.
The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for heavy snow in Wolverhampton from Thursday night into Friday. An amber cold-health alert has also been issued.
The following sessions will take place:
- 8 January at Wednesfield Library from 10:30GMT to 11:30
- 12 January at Bob Jones Community Hub from 10:00 to 11:00
- 13 January at Finchfield Library from 10:30 to 12.30
- 15 January at Penn Library from 10:30 to 12:30
- 20 January at Bilston Library from 10:30 to 12:30
- 23 January at Whitmore Reans Library from 15:00 to 16:00
- 27 January at Central Library from 10:30 to 12:30
