Four people have been charged over a knife-related police pursuit through Wolverhampton city centre.

West Midlands Police said officers responded to a call that youths had been seen running with blades on Queen Street, at about 16:45 GMT on Saturday.

Two men, aged 18 and 19, have been charged with making threats with a weapon in a public place. Two 15-year-olds, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have also been charged with the same offence.

Police said their arrests had been made as part of Project Guardian, which aims to reduce knife crime across Wolverhampton and the Black Country.
