Charley Marshall, 20, admitted two offences during a hearing at Lincoln Magistrates' Court

A serving soldier could face jail after admitting sharing intimate photographs of another person.

Charley Marshall, 20, who is serving with the Grenadier Guards, pleaded guilty to two offences during a hearing at Lincoln Magistrates' Court earlier.

District Judge Daniel Church adjourned the case for the completion of a pre-sentence report but warned Marshall: "All options are open, including custody."

Marshall, of Queens Road, Great Hale, Sleaford, Lincolnshire, was granted bail on the conditions that he does not contact the female victim or enter a particular road in the county.

Marshall admitted one charge of sharing photographs or film of a person in an intimate state on 16 July last year intending to cause alarm, distress or humiliation.

He also pleaded guilty to a second offence of harassment without violence against the same victim between 15 March and 26 June last year.

Mark Wood, defending Marshall, admitted the offences attracted the possibility of a custodial sentence and put his career at risk.

The court heard Marshall was just 19 at the time of the offences and is scheduled to be deployed to Cyprus on 2 February, returning on 2 March.
