Work began on the toilets last year.

Public toilets have reopened in Spalding following a "major" nine-month refurbishment.

The project in Sheep Market has replaced "small corridors and narrow, dark cubicles" with "larger designated rooms", South Holland District Council said.

Baby-changing facilities, including a breastfeeding area and a private toilet, have been installed.

The new-look toilets also include a changing places facility, for people with limited mobility, disabilities or other care needs.

Additional improvements include new seating and bicycle parking. Steel security doors have been added to guard against vandalism, while the surrounding area has been repaved.

Meanwhile, a new ventilation system will help to eliminate "unwanted odours", the council added.

The improvements were announced last September, when the council said it had secured a £150,000 grant to create three changing places toilets across the district.
