A project to replace a mini roundabout with a much larger one to help traffic flows has been completed.

The work at the junction of Finchampstead Road and Molly Millars Lane in Wokingham started last summer.

It forms part of Wokingham Council's South Wokingham Distributor Road project.

"Improvements have also been made by the Tesco roundabout, though we will need to do further work here to join it up to the distributor Road at a later date," the council said in a statement.

In October, Azber Bhatti, who owns Peacock House Interiors in the town centre, said the shop had seen "probably a 75% drop" in sales since the work started.

The council said the work aims to improve traffic flow ahead of 2,500 new homes being built in the area.
