Murder investigation launched over death of man

The PSNI confirmed a murder investigation had been launched following the death of a 33-year-old man

Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in the Cromwell Road area of south Belfast on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old man was found following the report of a concern for safety.

He was taken to hospital but died later.

Det Insp Jack Kelly said: "A 32-year-old man, who was arrested in connection with the investigation, remains in custody at this time."

Police said their enquiries are continuing and appealed for information.
