Teen arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences

An 18-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences.

West Midlands Police said he was detained at a property in the Finham area of Coventry on Monday.

He is being held on suspicion of encouraging terrorism and distributing written material which is threatening, abusive or insulting with intent to stir up racial hatred.

The force said he remained in custody for questioning.
