Family mourn 'loving mother' and 'bright spirit' after Dornoch death
Naomi MacIvor familyA woman who was allegedly murdered in a Highland town at the weekend was a loving mother and bright spirit, her family have said.
Naomi MacIvor, 46, was found dead at a property in Dornoch at about 16:40 on Saturday.
A 34-year-old man has appeared in court accused of her murder.
In a statement, Naomi's family said she was a friend to everyone and they would never get over losing her.
Naomi's family is being supported by specialist officers.
In their statement, the family said: "Naomi was a loving mother, auntie, daughter and grand-daughter. She was a friend to everyone.
"We will never get over losing her. She was taken far too early for such a bright spirit.
"We shall miss her for forever and love her eternally."
On Thursday, Daniel Sutherland, of Inverness, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court accused of murder.
He made no plea and was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
