Eleventh person charged over fatal acid attack

Devon and Cornwall PoliceAn 11th person has been charged over a fatal acid attack on a man in his own home.
Danny Cahalane, 38, was attacked on Lipson Road, Plymouth, on 21 February 2025 and died in hospital on 3 May.
Winchester Crown Court heard Kelvin Asante, 23, from Eresby Place, London, was arrested earlier this week.
He was charged with murder, attempting to intentionally cause grievous bodily harm, attempted kidnap at The Quay, Plymouth, and participating in the criminal activities of an organised crime group.
Appearing via video link from Bristol, Asante spoke only to confirm details of his case.
He was refused bail by Ms Justice Norton.
