M5 reopens after closure for police incident

Police reopened the M5 between junctions 30 and 31 at about 10:30 BST on Monday

A section of the M5 has reopened after being closed for several hours while police managed an incident.

The motorway was closed in both directions between junction 30 for Exeter and junction 31 for Okehampton at 03:50 BST.

Devon and Cornwall Police said multiple road diversions had been put in place and asked motorists to avoid the area and find alternative routes.

Officers confirmed the motorway had been reopened by about 10:30.
