Monmore Green Greyhound Stadium in Wolverhampton will make renovations to the general admission area

A greyhound racing stadium is to make upgrades to its general admission area as part of a six-figure investment.

Monmore Green Greyhound Stadium in Wolverhampton said renovations would be made to the lighting, flooring, ceiling, walls and woodwork.

The area will be shut from early January with work scheduled to continue throughout the month, a post on the stadium's Instagram page said.

During the closure, customers at evening meetings will be hosted in the downstairs Party Pack room, the post added, while those attending daytime meetings will use the upstairs restaurant.

The stadium, which did not confirm the exact amount of the investment, said the renovations would help to "improve customer experience" and disruption would be kept to a minimum.
