Two men charged over hare coursing
BBCTwo men have been charged after being arrested on suspicion of being involved in hare coursing.
Wiltshire Police said officers a spotted a vehicle in fields near Stanton St Bernard at about 03:15 GMT on Friday, and when they got closer, two men left the car and headed towards Alton Barnes White Horse.
The men were found and arrested when officers using dogs joined other units in the search.
Surrey pair Thomas Ball, 34, of Queensway North in Hersham and Franky Smith, 31, of Cobbetts Close, Normandy, were charged with being equipped for searching for or pursuing hares with dogs, and trespass with intent to search for or to pursue hares with dogs.
Both have been released on bail and are set to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court on 18 February.
