Is anything really that surprising anymore — especially at the carefully-planned World Economic Forum gathering in Davos?
Perhaps it’s that Davos even continues to exist. Or that the sparks of ideas in small groups get lost when dispersed to wider audiences. Or that Africa, the topic of the moment in 2014 at Davos, is much more muted this year.
