This visceral series, directed by the Oscar-winning Steve McQueen, explores how three seminal events during 1981 changed British race relations forever. A racist arson attack, the Black People's Action Day protest and riots in Brixton were to have a devastating effect on the black community in London. The repercussions of these tumultuous events are still being felt in Britain today.
