In 1901, Queen Victoria died after nearly 64 years on the throne. Her successor, Edward VII, was her opposite, wayward, exuberant, and indiscreet. On the latest leg of his rail journey, using his trusty Bradshaw’s Guide, Michael Portillo explores Edward and the Edwardian era he initiated. His journey takes him from aristocratic estates in Norfolk, to the seaside resorts of Bournemouth and Poole.
