After years of warnings about social media and screen time, many young parents now seem to be making a big effort to insulate their children from constant exposure to technology.
But monitoring your kid’s screen-time is much easier for parents who have the time to spare — and much harder for people who are working multiple jobs or are already stretched thin.
Katty Kay speaks with the writer Róisín Lanigan about how this idyllic vision of a tech-free-childhood also raises some thornier questions about time, money, and who can afford to unplug their kids from the digital world.
