The Korean food ritual that leads to happiness

In a 800-year-old temple, we follow a group of Buddhist nuns led by the Venerable Sunjae in their early morning eating discipline. Their ritual, called Balwoogongyang (literally 'four bowl sharing') involves eating in silence, focusing on the food, and avoiding waste. At the end, the nuns even drink the rinse water from the last bowl to show their respect for nature and its resources. Although not everyone can follow the same exact ancient ritual, in this video the Venerable nun shares simple teaching that can help us all feel calmer, happier and more supported in our life, just through the act of eating everyday.
