Busy Jersey Airport expected as Christmas approaches

Ports of Jersey has reminded air passengers to allow longer than usual for their journey as Christmas approaches.

Ports of Jersey said it estimated 18,500 passengers would use the airport from 20 to 24 December.

It said passengers can expect longer queues - especially on Thursday when there are extra flights, including charter flights to Madeira.

Ports said any presents in hand luggage should not be wrapped.

Christmas crackers also need to go into hold luggage, it added.

Ports said motorists were being encouraged to use the overflow car park as the main car park was expected to be busy.
