Bodycam captures moment burglar caught hiding under bed

Bodycam footage captured the moment a burglar was caught by police officers hiding under a bed.

David Thompson, 42, of no fixed address, was rumbled after officers became suspicious and followed him into a property in Manchester in January last year.

After lifting up a bed, Greater Manchester Police officers found him hiding in the storage compartment attempting to evade capture.

Thompson has been sentenced at Manchester Crown Court to five years in prison after pleading guilty to burgling four homes.
