Van speeds away from pursuing police at 120mph
A man has been arrested after police pursued a van going 120mph (193km/h).
The van had failed to stop for officers on Sunday evening and was then spotted again at Ampthill Road, Bedford, on Monday.
When Bedfordshire Police officers attempted to speak to the driver, they said the vehicle sped off, leading them on a pursuit down the A421, on to the M1 heading southbound, before driving dangerously in a residential area of Luton.
Police vehicles boxed the van in and the driver, a man in his 30s, was arrested.
During the pursuit, it was believed that a package was thrown from the vehicle.
A large quantity of cash was also seized by officers from inside the van.
