Covid: Rhondda parents who lost daughter, 25, warn 'this is real'
Parents of a women who died from Covid in December said her death shows "the very real threat of this virus".
Lauren Jones, 25, from Llywnypia in the Rhondda, went to hospital initially "just to get it checked out", but her condition deteriorated rapidly.
Paul Jones, Lauren's father, said he will "never forget" what the staff at the hospital told him.
"They said it would just be prolonging the inevitable and Lauren wouldn't survive the night."
"We did everything that everybody told us to do and we still got it," said Lauren's mother Karen.
Paul added: "It just goes to show the very real threat that's out there from this virus".
