More on-demand Wiltshire bus services launched
Wiltshire CouncilWiltshire Council has launched new on-demand bus services, after celebrating the success of its first route.
The new 100 service now runs between Marlborough and Devizes on a planned route which can deviate on request and be booked on the phone or online.
Another new route also now connects Marlborough with Great Bedwyn and Hungerford.
The original Wiltshire Connect bus in the Pewsey area has already had more than 5,000 passengers since August.
More than 2,400 people have also downloaded the smartphone app.
The buses can be booked on the app or on a dedicated phone line, up to seven days in advance or with as little as 30 minutes notice.
Councillor Caroline Thomas said: "We're also working on a web-based booking portal to give people even more options to book their ride."
