Droylsden: Man charged after girl, 6, abducted and sexually assaulted
BBCA man has been charged after a six-year-old girl was abducted and sexually assaulted in Greater Manchester.
Officers said the girl was reunited with her family shortly after the assault in Tameside on Thursday.
Lewis Jones, 23, from Liverpool, but of no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of sexual assault by penetration and one count of abduction.
After appearing before magistrates on Saturday, he was remanded to appear at Manchester Crown Court on 1 September.
Greater Manchester Police said officers continued to give the victim and her family support.
"We would once again like to thank members of the public for their assistance in this investigation and for engaging with our appeals," the force added.
