North East Lincolnshire library services under review
GoogleA consultation exercise has begun about the future of library and archive services across North East Lincolnshire.
Members of the public are being asked to take part in an online questionnaire and focus groups to talk about how they use services in the area.
It covers Grimsby Central Library, the libraries in Cleethorpes, Immingham and Waltham and the public archives at Grimsby Town Hall.
The survey runs until Friday 22 March.
A spokesperson for North East Lincolnshire Council says people will be asked how they use the current facilities, what they want to see in the future and how libraries could work alongside other services like health, business and leisure.
The authority, along with Lincs Inspire which runs the libraries, is also holding four events for members of the public to get involved:
- Freeman Street Market, Friday 26 January, 10:00 to 14:00 GMT
- Grimsby Health and Wellbeing Centre, Monday 29 January, 08:30 to 11:30
- Grimsby Leisure Centre, Monday 12 February, 16:00 to 19:00
- Cleethorpes Leisure Centre, Tuesday 20 February, 16:00 to 19:00
The results of consultation will be used to shape proposals for the second stage of the process.
