Chelmsford road sign spelling error is fixed

An obvious spelling mistake has been fixed on a large road sign.

The sign on the A131, on the outskirts of Chelmsford, originally spelt the Essex city as "Chelmsord" without an "f".

The error was first reported by the BBC on 3 January.

Essex County Council previously apologised for the "unfortunate mistake" and said the error was the responsibility of a developer that designed it.

A spokesperson had said it would ensure the developer installed a replacement "as soon as possible".
