Uncle of Traitors star prays he can avoid spoilers
Cody Burridge/BBC/Studio LambertThe uncle of The Traitors finalist Jack Butler is praying he can avoid spoilers after double-booking himself on the night of the final.
Chris Butler said his phone would be on mute as he took a friend out for his 60th birthday on Friday.
His 29-year-old nephew, from Harlow in Essex, has been guaranteed a spot among the BBC show's final five.
Butler said: "We really don't know what the outcome is going to be but we're all really, really excited."
The cloak and dagger contest is in its fourth series and began with a £120,000 prize pot up for grabs.
Jack Butler is among the Faithful trying to root out the Traitors at Ardross Castle, near Inverness in northern Scotland.
Cody Burridge/BBCHis uncle, from Leaden Roding near Chelmsford, said: "We're all waiting with baited breath for tonight to see how he gets on.
"His partner knows the outcome and his parents were entitled to know the outcome, but they asked not to know."
But Butler will have to wait longer than most of the millions of people tuning in to Friday's final.
He said it was "a tricky one" as he was due to take an old work colleague out to dinner for his birthday.
"I'm going to put my phone on mute and I'm going to watch it when I get home, hopefully with a nice surprise," Butler added.

He has been surprised by the reaction to the show, saying Jack was being stopped in the street for selfies and had seen his social media following skyrocket.
It had also made an impression on the personal trainer's grandparents who were gripped by the action, he said.
"He's a great lad, very affable, great with people," Butler continued, adding his nephew had flown under the radar.
"He's just enjoying the ride and let's hope it takes him to victory tonight.
"I really hope he can see it through, get some money and treat his uncle, hopefully."
The final episode airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 20:30 GMT.
