Woodville: Crews called to factory fire at industrial site

Crews are tackling a large fire that has broken out at a factory.

Eight fire engines and two aerial ladder platforms are tackling the blaze at an industrial site in Woodville, Swadlincote, Derbyshire.

At about 18:30 BST on Tuesday, Derbyshire Police said Occupation Lane was closed as a result with motorists asked to avoid the area.

Residents have been urged to stay indoors and keep their doors and windows shut.

Police appeal over boy injured after fall from bike

Police say they would like dashcam footage to try to establish how the child was hurt.

Planning officers say replacing the damaged building would improve the area's appearance.

A woman is being questioned over the crash, as well as the alleged assault of a police officer.

Firefighters spent the night damping down at the industrial site in Woodville.

The boy, who does not attend the school, is in custody and inquiries are ongoing, police say.
