Teenager stabbed in Birmingham's Victoria Square

A 17-year-old boy has been stabbed in Birmingham city centre.

A large cordon has been put in place near the council house in Victoria Square after police said officers were called to reports of a stabbing at 15:30 GMT.

The teenager was taken to hospital with serious injuries, West Midlands Police said.

An investigation has been started and anyone with information is asked to contact to contact the force.
