Motorcyclist Gary Simpson dies in Halesowen crash

A man has died after his motorbike was in collision with a car.

West Midlands Police said Gary Simpson had been pronounced dead at the scene on Stourbridge Road in Halesowen, Dudley, at about 15:00 BST on Saturday.

The force said his bike had struck the back of a Land Rover as it had turned into Richmond Street.

In a statement, Mr Simpson's family said the-38-year-old had been a "beloved partner, father, brother, son and uncle".

Appealing for witnesses, the force added the driver of the car, a 51-year-old woman, was helping officers with their investigation.
