Paint sprayed on Falmouth University during protest

A Falmouth University building has been covered in orange paint after a peaceful protest was "escalated by a small number of individuals who caused criminal damage", the university has said.
Police were called at midday on Wednesday to the Penryn campus following reports of a Just Stop Oil protest.
Just Stop Oil said on X that the Falmouth protest was its third day of "student resistance".
A university spokesperson said the matter would be investigated by police.
Ben Webb"The protest was reported to have concluded peacefully and those involved have left the area," a Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson added.
A spokesperson for Falmouth University said: "This morning, there was a peaceful demonstration on Penryn Campus.
"We respect peaceful and lawful protest; however, this event was escalated by a small number of individuals who caused criminal damage to two buildings.
They added that it would now be investigated by police and through the university's internal processes.
