Woman dies after being hit by a bus

A woman in her 80s has died after being hit by a bus, Kent Police have said.

The woman was hit shortly before 15:00 BST on 1 October on Prospect Road in Hythe.

She was airlifted to a London hospital, but died from her injuries on Wednesday.

Officers said they are investigating what happened and urged anyone with information to come forward.

They added they were "particularly keen" to speak to any passengers on the bus, which was travelling east between Sun Lane and Douglas Avenue.

The incident occurred on the High Street on Friday and involved a Mercedes car and a Honda bike.

A child was seriously injured by the police drone, the Air Accident Investigation Branch says.

Arran McManus, 36, was killed when two lorries and a Nissan Qashqai crashed on the M20 in Kent.

A 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl died following the crash in Iwade, Kent Police say.

The circumstances behind the fire are not being treated as suspicious, Kent Police say.
