Motorcyclist, 20, dies in Herne Bay crash

Police are appealing for information after a crash between a car and a motorbike in Herne Bay left one man dead.

The incident involved a blue Mercedes and an orange Honda bike, both of which were travelling in the same direction along the High Street at about 22:09 GMT on Friday, according to Kent Police.

Emergency services attended and the bike rider, a 20-year-old man from Canterbury, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed, Kent Police said.

Officers from the force's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the vehicles beforehand to contact them.

Dashcam or CCTV footage of what happened is also being sought.
