An application to demolish former offices of Lloyds Bank and turn the site into three large units has been submitted.

The four-storey offices at Pendeford Business Park, off Wobaston Road, Wolverhampton, could be transformed as part of £36m plans to build three large new commercial units and offices there.

The 10-acre (4-hectare) site was left empty by the Lloyds Banking Group at the end of 2025 after 30 years with staff relocated to new Birmingham offices in Colmore Row.

If approved by planners at City of Wolverhampton Council, the units are expected to be available by summer 2027.

Their floorspace would be between 21,000 sq ft (1,951 sq m) and 80,000 sq ft (7,432 sq m) .

Lloyds Bank also left its 146-year-old home in Wolverhampton city centre last year as part of a move to the nearby Mander Centre.

The Grade II-listed building dates back to 1878 and plans were recently submitted to the council to convert the former banking hall into a new cafe alongside 20 new flats.
