Rolls-Royce surprise for 'Nan everyone wishes for'
BBCA 101-year-old has said she was "stunned" to get a ride in a Rolls-Royce as a Christmas treat.
Dorcus Dearne. who lives at a nursing home in Shropshire, said: "I'm not used to Rolls-Royces, because I'm not a celebrity."
The trip was the idea of health care assistant Chelsie Streete from the Cedars Nursing Home in Albrighton.
She described Ms Dearne, who is originally from Wolverhampton, as "the nan people wish for".
She said Ms Dearne had mentioned in passing the she had a Rolls-Royce at her wedding and decided to ask people on Facebook if they could help out.
She got more than 100 responses and said: "Her Christmas wish has come true and its been beautiful."
They used the car to make a trip into the village for a cup of tea and Richard Johnson, the man who donated the car for the day for free, said he wanted to show there was "still a bit of kindness left in the world".
"I'd like to think somebody would do it for my grandparents," he said.

Sitting in the car, Ms Dearne said: "I never thought they'd make this fuss."
"I shall lie in bed and think about it."
She said she was used to being driven around in taxis and small cars, but this was something different.
"I wish I could drive it," she added.
Ms Streete said the 101-year-old had one son and no grandchildren and they had become good friends.
"I wish I could take her home," she said.
"She really does deserve it and it shows these things can happen."
