Folk singer-songwriter Ben Howard is set to perform this summer in Cornwall

Singer-songwriter Ben Howard has been announced as one of the headline acts at this summer's Eden Sessions in Cornwall.

Howard, who was raised in Devon and studied in Falmouth, Cornwall, will perform at the live show at the Eden Project on 10 July.

The show is set to be one of two UK performances by the folk musician this summer.

Simon Townsend, Eden Sessions director, said Howard's music had a "rare ability to be both intimate and expansive", adding: "We're excited to welcome him to the Eden Sessions stage. Performing surrounded by the gardens and Biomes will make for a memorable evening, and we can't wait for fans to experience Ben's unique sound here."

Other headline acts on various dates this summer include Snow Patrol, Wolf Alice, Mika, the Pixies and Neil Young.
