A man has died in a crash between two vehicles near Balcombe.

The collision happened on the B2036 London Road, near Cherry Lane, at about 07:30 GMT.

The man who died, who was a 44-year-old from Cuckfield, was driving a vehicle travelling northbound on the road, while the driver of a second vehicle sustained minor injuries.

The road was closed while inquiries were carried out, but has since reopened.

Sussex Police is appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward.
