The Cliff Villages Medical Practice will reopen on Monday

A medical practice which closed unexpectedly is due to reopen on Monday.

The Cliff Villages Medical Practice, which serves patients in Navenby and Waddington, Lincolnshire, was shut last week due to the removal of its Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration.

The NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) said on Thursday that the closure was "temporary" and it was working with the practice to help it reopen.

In a statement posted on social media on Friday evening, the practice said it was now operating "under full CQC registration following a change in provider" and asked patients to attend routine appointments "as planned".

The removal of the CQC registration was due to "administrative reasons", according to the Lincolnshire ICB website.

"We would like to reassure our patients that the practice is now operating under full CQC registration following a change in provider," the practice said in its social media post.

The surgery asked patients to bear with their team while normal services were re-established.

"For reassurance, we continue with our known GPs – Dr Douglas and Dr Duckenfield, but hope to expand our team to ensure improved appointment access and continuity for our patients," the statement added.
