Cars land on top of one another after crash

The crash happened on Wellfields - a built-up, residential road close to the centre of Loughton

Two cars landed on top of one another after a crash which - despite its severity - saw all those involved escape with minor injuries.

Emergency services were called to the collision on Wellfields in Loughton, Essex, just before 12:10 BST on Tuesday.

Upon arrival, firefighters and police officers found a blue Volkswagen resting on the underside of a white Hyundai, which had crashed on its roof.

Fire crews said no-one was trapped inside the vehicles and shortly after the scene was made safe. Essex Police has been contacted for comment.
