Police appeal after man suffers injuries in assault
GoogleOfficers are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in Leicester.
Leicestershire Police received a report the victim was attacked inside a property on Welford Road by three men at about 04:15 GMT on Saturday.
A man in his 40s "sustained serious cuts to his hand which may be life-changing", the force said, adding he also sustained a cut to the back of his head.
No arrests have been made, and witnesses are being sought.
Det Sgt Vicki Hudson, from Leicestershire Police's complex investigation team, said: "As this incident happened on a main route in and out of the city, I believe there may be people who can help but have not yet spoken to police."
