Stone walls at a park in Leicester are being rebuilt for the first time in 250 years after being damaged by the wet weather, a trust said.

The Bradgate Park Trust said the walls had fallen in areas across the park due to consistent rain over the past few weeks.

Volunteers and staff members will now work three days a week to help rebuild any areas that have collapsed.

"Repairing the walls at Bradgate Park can feel a bit like painting the Forth Bridge, as soon as one section is finished, there's another to start on," a trust spokesperson added.
