Tree removal work to cause further disruption
GoogleMotorists are being warned of further disruption on a busy route in Derbyshire as work continues to remove trees considered a danger to road users.
Contractors have been carrying out work on the A5012 Via Gellia between the Clatterway junction in Bonsall and Grangemill since early January.
From Monday, a road closure will be in place on another section of the route between the junction with the B5036 at Cromford Hill and Clatterway.
The closure will be in place between 08:00 and 16:00 GMT.
'Vital work'
Work on the section was expected to take about three days, Derbyshire County Council said.
Any remaining trees at risk of falling on to the road will be removed during the closure.
The section of road between Clatterway and Ryder Point will reopen on Monday to allow access to Bonsall.
Councillor Charlotte Hill, cabinet member for potholes, highways and transport at the council, said: "I'm pleased that this work is nearing completion and we look set to be able to open the entire route to traffic.
"Felling diseased ash trees by the roadside is a priority for safety reasons, and I'd like to thank everyone for their patience while we carry out this vital work.
"We apologise for traffic disruption and road closures but public safety must come first."
Signed diversions will remain in place while the road is closed.
The section of road between Ryder Point and Grangemill was expected to reopen completely during the afternoon or evening of 27 February.
