Lisa Dorrian is believed to have died on the night of 27 February 2005 or in the early hours of the following morning

A 40-year-old man has been arrested by police investigating the disappearance and murder of 25-year-old Lisa Dorrian.

He was arrested in Millisle on Wednesday on suspicion of assisting offenders and withholding information.

The arrest comes days after the 21st anniversary of Lisa's disappearance.

Lisa has not been seen since she attended a house party at a caravan park in the County Down village of Ballyhalbert, at the end of February 2005.

Det Ch Insp Kerrie Foreman said: "It's been 21 long and painful years for Lisa's loving family. They have never given up their search for answers and justice and, likewise, our determination remains steadfast."

Police are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
